Tustin : City Seeks Permission to Annex County Area
The City Council will ask the county for permission to annex an unincorporated area bordered by Medford Avenue and Grovesite, Loretta and Bonner drives.
Jeff Davies, assistant city planner, said the area is completely surrounded by the city and consists of two or three blocks with about 40 residents.
The council voted last week to ask the county Board of Supervisors to approve the annexation.
“It’s almost a known thing that it’s going to pass,” said City Clerk Mary Wynn. “It would be a benefit for the residents because the county now has to service that area for police.”
