USD Women Beat Wyoming, 87-61

Despite going against a taller University of Wyoming team, the University of San Diego women’s basketball team outrebounded Wyoming and easily won, 87-61, Tuesday night at the USD Sports Center.

USD (4-10) beat Wyoming (4-11) on the boards, 38-22, including a 16-2 margin in offensive rebounds. Wyoming (4-11) was more accurate from the floor, outshooting USD, 56.5% to 53% from the floor, but USD took 20 more shots.

Mary Stambra scored 18 points to lead USD. Debbie Theroux had 15, and Cathy O’Brien and Karen Skemp added 13 apiece. Sharon Harp led Wyoming with 15.
