A federal grand jury on Wednesday indicted four persons in the Christmas Day bombings of three clinics where abortions were performed.

The two male defendants also were indicted for a similar bombing last June.

Matthew J. Goldsby and James T. Simmons, both 21 and residents of nearby Cantonment, each were charged on nine counts: one of conspiracy, four of constructing explosive devices and four of using those devices to blow up buildings.

Goldsby’s fiancee, Kaye Wiggins, 18, of Pensacola, and Simmons’ wife, Kathren, also 18, each were indicted on seven counts alleging the same violations, but only three counts each of building bombs and using them to blow up buildings.

The women were charged only in connection with the Dec. 25 attacks.
