A Coast Guard search failed to turn up any signs of a 63-year-old Hawthorne man who failed to return to Marina del Rey from a daylong fishing trip he took alone in an 18-foot powerboat. The Coast Guard said air and sea units searched from Palos Verdes Point to Point Dume and as far out as Santa Barbara Island. The man’s name was not released.
