Jerry Ruenheck, president and chief operating officer of Burger King Corp., said he is resigning from the Miami-based corporation but plans to “rekindle my entrepreneurial fires” and become a Burger King franchisee. His successor is Jay O. Darling, currently executive vice president of operations.
