Iran-Soviet Economic Panel May Be Revived
Iran is ready to revive a joint economic committee with the Soviet Union after a period of strained relations between the two countries.

Boldyrev that Iran is prepared to revive the committee “to create better coordination in the present relations and . . . grounds for future cooperation.”
Relations between Iran and the Soviet Union were severely strained last year with the arrest and trial of members of the Iranian Tudeh (Communist) Party and the expulsion of a number of Soviet diplomats.
