The Girl Scouts began their annual cookie drive with newly designed boxes to prevent tampering incidents similar to the ones that curtailed sales last year. Sue Clancy, head of the Girl Scouts Council of Greater St. Louis, said the boxes feature a stronger glue on the ends plus a tear strip to discourage tampering.
