LAGATTUTA NAMED ‘NEWS 4’ CO-ANCHOR
Bill Lagattuta, a news anchor at KGW-TV in Portland, was named by KNBC Channel 4 Tuesday to be a weekend co-anchor on “News 4 L.A.” He will join Frank Cruz on the four weekend newscasts in March, a station spokeswoman said.
Lagattuta will work as a general assignment reporter for “News 4 L.A.” on weekdays, she added.
After earning a bachelor’s degree in journalism at Arizona State University in Tempe, Lagattuta began his broadcast career at a Phoenix TV station in 1974. He has since worked at stations in San Diego, Denver and San Francisco, and joined KGW-TV, an NBC affiliate, in 1983.
