Rosemead

The Garvey School District has begun a new Early Start Kindergarten program for children age 5 who are not now enrolled in kindergarten classes. Early Start children may be enrolled in any of five Garvey district elementary schools in Rosemead to gain an extra half-year of school experience. The district expects 100 children to enter the afternoon programs at Hillcrest, Williams, Emerson, Duff and Fern Schools, according to Elena Wong, assistant superintendent for instruction.
