White House Rules Out Visit to Dachau

WASHINGTON —
The White House today said President Reagan has no intention of visiting the former concentration camp at Dachau during his trip to West Germany in May.
Spokesman Larry Speakes said Reagan “just doesn’t think it’s an appropriate thing to do.” The West German news magazine Der Spiegel has reported that Reagan intended to visit the site despite wishes to the contrary of the Bonn government.
