Drive Receives Grant: A $100,000 grant from the W. M. Keck Foundation has pushed a fund drive for a gerontology center at Cal State Fullerton past the halfway mark, university President Jewel Plummer Cobb announced Thursday. The university is seeking to raise $1.7 million to begin construction by late next year on a complex consisting of classrooms, large meeting rooms, laboratories and offices. The university will offer course work for students preparing to work with elderly people and would provide facilities for research into the problems of aging.
