Laguna Beach : Child-Care Program Is Among New School Aims
- Share via
New goals outlined by the Laguna Beach Unified School District include studying the feasibility of a child-care program and expanding the alternative school.
The alternative school, Community Learning Center, teaches kindergarten through fourth graders together, and fifth grade pupils may be added.
Many of the district’s stated goals are continuations from last year. Among other things, the board would continue to investigate the idea of offering year-round child care before and after school at El Morro and Top of the World elementary schools; develop uniform standards for science, math, reading and social studies for grades six through eight, and monitor the standards established for kindergarten through fifth grade.
