A warehouse built in the city of South Lake Tahoe without approval of the California Tahoe Regional Planning Agency was ordered removed as the 3rd District Court of Appeal in Sacramento upheld the state’s power over the environment. Day and Night Electric Inc. had been refused a permit by the state agency in 1979, but was given approval by the city which, with Placer and El Dorado counties, was rebelling against state authority over land use.
