Clippers Face Knicks Tonight at Garden; Johnson Is Doubtful

Share

The Clippers, who have lost three straight games, will meet the New York Knicks tonight at Madison Square Garden, probably without forward Marques Johnson, nursing a sprained right ankle.

Johnson will not decide whether he will play until after testing his ankle again this morning. But he is expected to play in at least one of the three games on the trip. The Clippers travel to Cleveland Tuesday and conclude the trip Thursday night against the New Jersey Nets.

Even though Johnson is doubtful, power forward Michael Cage will return for the Clippers, who have a 19-25 record.
