Conyers Herring of Stanford University was named a co-winner of the $100,000 Wolf Prize in physics, the Wolf Fund announced in Tel Aviv. Herring and Philippe Nozieres of the University of Grenoble, France, were honored for their contributions to the physical theory of solids, especially the behavior of electrons in metals.
