Micro D Inc., the Santa Ana-based computer materials distributor, said it is altering its fiscal year to Jan. 1 through Dec. 31. Previously, the company’s fiscal year ended Oct. 31. The company said financial results of the two months from Nov. 1, 1984 through Dec. 31, 1984, will be announced separately at a later date.

Lorraine Mecca, the company’s chief executive officer, said the change in the fiscal year was made so the end of the reporting period will fall near the end of Micro D’s busy season, rather than in the middle of it. “We have determined that a December year end will be less disruptive of our operations than October has been,” she said.
