Hayden to Head Education Panel

Assemblyman Tom Hayden (D-Santa Monica) has been appointed head of a new legislative subcommittee on higher education. In that job, Hayden said he hopes to create a stronger bond between the schools and the Legislature. In other assignments, Hayden will sit on full committees covering education, economic development and new technologies, revenue and taxation, toxic materials, and policy research management.
