A twin-engine Cessna 414 overshot the airport on its landing approach Thursday and crashed and burned, killing all four persons aboard, authorities said.

Ray Conway, director of operations at Chester County Airport, said weather conditions were “variable” at the time. The plane went down in a backyard in the nearby village of Sadsburyville. No one on the ground was hurt.
