India Extends Punjab Ban

NEW DELHI —
India on Saturday extended a ban on foreigners entering troubled Punjab state until April 2. No foreigners may enter the Sikh-majority state bordering Pakistan without permission. The restrictions have been in force since troops took control of the state last June to end a violent campaign by Sikh extremists for a separate nation.
