A car carrying two adults and five small children, ranging in age from 7 months to 5 years, was hit by a train in Bell, but all seven escaped with relatively minor injuries, officials said. The train struck the car at the intersection of South Alamo Avenue and Randolph Street, Los Angeles County Fire Department spokesman Jeff Myers said. Identities of the victims were not immediately known. Rescuers said the seven victims "had cuts and bruises and were all up and crying, so evidently they were all OK," Myers said. The injured were taken to nearby hospitals, where they were all reported in stable condition.
