Florida Death Row Inmate Found Hanged in His Cell

STARKE, Fla. —
A Death Row inmate, convicted in the 1984 slayings of a man and a woman, died Wednesday after apparently hanging himself in his cell, a prison spokesman said.
Allan Wayne Tucker, 23, had fashioned a noose from a sheet and was found hanging from a heating vent in the rear of his cell about 3:45 a.m., said Vernon Bradford, state Department of Corrections spokesman.
