Police officers, community groups and service clubs arranged for the infant daughter of an assassinated Mexican police official to come to Southern California for urgent medical care. Marbella Ojeda Sanchez, 18 months, was to arrive at International Airport with her mother, Alma Rosa Sanchez Moreno, the widow of slain police Maj. Seferino Ojeda. Doctors at Los Angeles Orthopedic Hospital planned to treat the child for a variety of ailments, including a shortened leg, a partially paralyzed right arm and vision impairment, Alhambra police Officer Angel Gaitan said. Her father was a police official in Culiacan, a city in the state of Sinaloa, Mexico. He was killed last year by drug traffickers who operate in the region.
