A bomb discovered in a locker at Point Loma High School forced the evacuation of one of the school’s buildings Friday, a San Diego Fire Department official said. The department’s Explosive Ordnance Disposal team was dispatched to the school at 11:33 a.m. after a student discovered a box in a locker. The bomb disposal unit reported that the box contained a “potentially dangerous time-delayed explosive device,” which was defused without exploding. Students were allowed back in the building at 1 p.m. The Metro Arson Strike Team is investigating, Fire Department spokesman Denis McNeil said.
