Jackson Improving After His Lungs Are Cleared

WASHINGTON —
Jesse Jackson continued to improve and was resting comfortably Friday, a day after his lungs were drained to relieve breathing problems, Howard University Hospital officials said. Jackson underwent a bronchoscopy Thursday to relieve obstruction in the bronchial tubes.
