Federal authorities are investigating another incident involving a Continental Airlines jetliner that flew from Newark, N.J., to Denver after damaging its tail section on takeoff. The plane was able to land safely. It was the second such incident in a month involving the same aircraft, the Federal Aviation Administration said. The bolt on Flight 315 apparently was sheared on takeoff from the tail’s skid, which is a protective device on the underside of the fuselage.
