A federal judge has confirmed the amended reorganization plan of Franklin Computer Corp., enabling the sole maker of personal computers designed to be compatible with Apple systems to emerge from bankruptcy, company officials said. Judge Emil Goldhaber of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the eastern district of Pennsylvania confirmed the plan, which Franklin’s approximately 400 unsecured creditors had voted to approve. Under the plan, unsecured creditors owed a total of $13 million will be paid from the ongoing sale of the 3-year-old company’s physical assets and inventory. In addition, 1.5 million shares of common stock will be issued for every $100 of proven debt owed.
