County Planners Delay Action on Canoga Park Site

Los Angeles County planning commissioners Wednesday delayed action on a plan to build 46 town houses and 68 single-family homes on a 58-acre site at the western end of Kittridge Street in Canoga Park.

Members of the Regional Planning Commission said they want additional information on water system and traffic circulation plans for the hillside site, which lies between the City of Los Angeles and the Ventura County line.

Developer Warren S. Liu has applied for a zoning change and the permits needed for the project.

In an unrelated action, commissioners tentatively approved plans for a commercial office building, studio and film-processing business on a five-acre site in Calabasas.

The two-story, 70,542-square-foot building is proposed for a Calabasas Road parcel located 470 feet east of Mureau Road.

Officials said they will schedule a final vote on a zone change and conditional-use permit needed for the project in about three weeks.
