Garden Grove : Residents Due to Move Into New Senior Building

Share

The first residents of the Donald S. Jordan Manor were expected to begin moving in today, less than a year after construction of the 65-unit senior citizens apartment building began and three years after the project was conceived.

About 400 people had applied for apartments in the three-story, $2.9-million housing complex adjacent City Hall. Funded primarily through a federal grant, the project contains three wheelchair units, 17 studios and 45 one-bedroom apartments.

It is located on the northwest corner of 9th Street and Acacia Parkway.

Residents must be at least 63 years old and earn less than $11,800 annually for a single person.
