West German Traffic Jammed--and Sauced

HANOVER, West Germany —
It finally happened--a real traffic jam.
A truck carrying tons of apple sauce and jam overturned on the Hanover-Hamburg highway Thursday, bringing traffic to a halt.
Clean-up efforts took eight hours after the mess of jam and sauce turned solid in subzero temperatures, a spokesman said.
