A museum featuring Elvis Presley memorabilia will open in Tokyo this fall, American music and movie producer Jerry Weintraub announced here.

Weintraub said he and two Japanese business partners will open the museum honoring the late rock star, and that it will feature Presley trophies, records and costumes from a collection by Col. Tom Parker, Presley’s longtime manager.

Presley died of a heart attack at 42, on Aug. 16, 1977.

Weintraub said he chose Tokyo because there are many Presley fans in the Japanese capital.
