Lomita

Applications for the 1985 Miss Lomita Pageant are available at the Chamber of Commerce offices at City Hall, 24300 Narbonne Avenue, between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. during weekdays.

The contest, which is sponsored annually by the Women’s Division of the Lomita Chamber of Commerce, will award a first prize of $300 along with the title “Miss Lomita 1985” and other prizes. First runner-up earns $150 and second runner-up $75.

Applicants must apply in person before March 8, and bring a wallet-size photo. Entrants must be between the ages of 16 and 20, residents of the city of Lomita, single, and available for all city functions during 1985. The application fee is $25.

Judging will be based on personality, appearance in swimsuit and formal gown and talent competition. The new Miss Lomita will be crowned on May 18th.
