Valley Federal Savings & Loan Assn., a 52-branch institution based in Van Nuys, has named Michael Laurin executive vice president and chief operating officer.

Richard A. Warner has been named executive vice president overseeing the corporate relations group of Security Pacific Corp. and its principal subsidiary, Security Pacific National Bank. Both are based in Los Angeles.

Separately, the bank announced that S. Lachlan Hough, Margaret P. (Faye) Wilson and Daniel F. Wheeler III have been promoted to senior vice president.

Attorney Randolph M. Blotky has been appointed vice president-business affairs for CBS Productions, Studio City. He was formerly a partner in the law firm of Mitchell, Silberberg & Knupp and involved in the entertainment field.

Jan Abrams has been named vice president-business affairs of Embassy Television, Universal City.

Roscoe Anthony has been named vice president-account service at Reeds Farris Lewis & Maisel, a Los Angeles advertising agency.

Bruce Pearson has been named senior vice president-savings division of Beverly Hills Savings, Beverly Hills.

Michael T. Gutierez has been appointed vice president of San Francisco-based Crocker Bank’s California Banking Group in Los Angeles.

Fremont-based Optical Specialties Inc., a maker of wafer-inspection equipment for the semiconductor industry, has promoted Steven A. Hess to senior vice president. Horst E. Groneberg, a company co-founder, has been named vice president-product reliability.

Levi Strauss & Co., the San Francisco-based apparel maker, has named its general counsel, Thomas J. Bauch, corporate senior vice president.

Brae Corp., San Francisco, has named Charles L. Wedge vice president-manufacturing of its American Sign & Indicator Corp. unit.

Separately, Brae announced that Gene W. Hodson has been named vice president-operations at its Integrated Systems Engineering unit, and Diedra Barsotti has been promoted to corporate controller.

William L. Gamble has been elected vice president-finance for Technology for Communications International, Mountain View, a maker of antennas and electronic reconnaissance systems.

Widcom Inc., a producer of telecommunications equipment based in Campbell, has named Allan E. Alcorn senior vice president-operations. Alcorn was a co-founder of Atari Inc.
