Woman Booked on Charges of Bilking Firm
The former bookkeeper of a West Hollywood management company was arrested Friday on suspicion of embezzling at least $210,000 from the firm and using the money to purchase a discotheque, Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies said.
Leticia A. Bernabe, 49, was booked for investigation of four counts of grand theft and 25 counts of forgery by deputies who served search warrants at her home in Glendale and at her Q Restaurant and Disco Club at 1161 N. Vermont Ave. in Los Angeles.
