Indiana Bishop Resigns

WASHINGTON — Pope John Paul II has accepted the resignation of Bishop William McManus, 71, of Fort Wayne-South Bend, Ind., and named Auxiliary Bishop John D’Arcy, 52, of Boston as his successor, it was announced Tuesday.
