ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Eastman Kodak Co. has formed a bio-products division to develop, make and sell biotechnology products for the pharmaceutical, food, animal nutrition and chemical markets, the company said.
Kodak will build a 40,000-square-foot plant in the Rochester suburb of Greece as an “advanced development center with production capabilities,” the company said in a news release.
The bio-products division will be the first operating unit of Kodak’s life sciences operation that was announced late in 1984 as “designed to participate in markets broadly associated with biology, chemistry and medicine.”
