Iraqi Diplomat Killed in Kuwait
Associated Press
KUWAIT —
Four gunmen broke into the home of an Iraqi diplomat early today and shot and killed him and his son, the Kuwait News Agency reported.
Hadi Awad Saeed, an assistant cultural counselor, died at a hospital after the attack and his son, Hassan, died immediately, the agency said. It said no suspects have been identified, but colleagues speculated that the gunmen were Shia Muslims sympathetic to Iran in its 4 1/2-year-old war with Iraq.
