The San Diego hotel that Conrad N. Hilton, Joseph W. Drown and Spearl Ellison opened in 1947 has been sold along with the rest of the 2200 block of El Cajon Boulevard.
Robert W. Wilson bought the block, including the LaFayette Hotel, for $2.3 million, according to C. W. Clark Inc., Commercial Real Estate Services, which represented the seller, Spearl Ellison. Paula Bakke was cooperating broker.
Ellison formerly owned the U. S. Grant Hotel in San Diego and is a major stockholder in Atlas Hotels.
