Buena Park : School Board Members Vote to Increase Pay
School board members have voted to increase their compensation for each twice-monthly meeting from $20 to $60.
“One of the main reasons we felt board members should receive this compensation is that they have expenses like travel and baby sitting,” said Pat Pebley, the school superintendent’s secretary.
In California, school board members may receive up to $240 a month in districts with up to 10,000 students.
