U.S. Olympic Committee President John B. Kelly Jr. died of a heart attack while jogging, the medical examiner said Monday.

Kelly, 57, a former city councilman, businessman and athlete, collapsed on a downtown street Saturday. Dr. Marvin Aronson also said that Eugene Conlan, who was married briefly to Kelly’s sister, Margaret, also died of a heart attack a few hours later while walking several blocks from where Kelly collapsed.

Aronson said there was no connection between the two deaths. He said Kelly “died of natural disease consisting of coronary artery occlusion.”

A memorial service for Kelly, a four-time Olympian and brother of the late Princess Grace of Monaco, will be held Friday at Memorial Hall in West Fairmount Park. Burial will be private and the family has asked that donations be made to the U.S. Olympic Committee.
