20,000 Gallons of Oil Spilled in Louisiana River

MORGAN CITY, La. —
A barge ripped into a submerged object in the Atchafalaya River on Tuesday, spilling 20,000 gallons of crude oil and creating a two-mile-long slick that the Coast Guard called a “major inland spill.” No injuries were reported.
