PPG Industries to Buy Automative Coatings Firm

PITTSBURGH — PPG Industries Inc. said it agreed to purchase the Ladywood business group of International Paint PLC, a unit of Courtaulds PLC of Britain.

Terms were not disclosed.

Ladywood makes automotive and industrial coatings and employs about 400 workers at its plant in Birmingham, England.
