Rosscomp Corp. of Costa Mesa Thursday announced the signing of a $10-million, five-year agreement to sell its computer equipment to Microlab S.A., in Brazil.

Under the contract, Rosscomp will supply the Rio de Janeiro-based firm with its eight-inch streaming tape drives and 9-track formatters, two pieces of equipment used in computers. The contract allows Microlab to produce and sell the product on an exclusive basis in Brazil and to sell it on a non-exclusive basis in other South American countries.

“We are currently marketing our products in Japan, Europe and the United Kingdom, and this agreement will give us a solid position in the South American marketplace,” said Michael Krunic, Rosscomp’s vice president of sales.
