Mubarak, Weinberger Talk Aid

WASHINGTON —
Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak met with Defense Secretary Caspar W. Weinberger today and sought more military aid, a request given little chance of success in budget-strapped Washington.
Sources also held out little hope of success for Mubarak’s other goal--persuading the United States to break the stalemate in Middle East peace efforts by meeting with a delegation representing Jordan and the Palestine Liberation Organization.
