Survey Probes Interest in Trade Center

A survey has been distributed by Pomona Economic Development Corp. to measure interest in a proposed world trade center serving the Inland Empire from Pomona.

Tentative plans call for a $58-million Inland Pacific World Trade Center complex that would include a 12-story, 220,000-square-foot office building; a two-story, 110,000-square-foot trade mart facility; an eight-story, 300-room hotel with convention facilities; a two-story retail galleria with shops and restaurants; two museums and a theater for drama and dance.

The developer of the projected center is Urbanetics Inc., Los Angeles. The architect and master planner is Thomas Felvey, president of C P R Architects, also Los Angeles.

K M G Main Hurdman, Los Angeles accounting and management firm, helped assemble the survey, which Pomona Economic Development Corp. has mailed to 15,000 Southern California firms. Results are expected to be published toward the end of this month.
