Acton said it sold a 13,000-subscriber cable-TV system in eastern Los Angeles County to Denver-based Danieles & Associates, a privately held firm, for between $15 million and $17 million . . . Logicon said it received a $3.5-million contract from International Business Machines to develop software and interface hardware for a universal test system for a joint military service communications system . . . Angeles Corp. said its Quinoco Cos. unit completed three acquisitions of oil and gas properties totaling $40.9 million for affiliated limited partnerships during the quarter ended last Dec. 31 . . . Texaco said it is laying off 140 of its 710 employees at the Texaco Research Center, Beacon, N.Y.
