The U.S. Supreme Court cleared the way for the scheduled execution early today of convicted Georgia murderer John C. Young. By a 5-3 vote, the court rejected an emergency request aimed at keeping Young alive. Young, 28, was convicted of the 1974 slayings of three elderly Macon, Ga., residents. The victims were beaten and kicked to death in their homes.
