After 14 Sons, a Daughter

DUNEDIN, New Zealand — A 50-year-old man said Thursday that he wept with joy when his wife gave birth to a daughter after bearing 14 sons. The baby, born Tuesday, was “so beautiful she should be called Elizabeth Taylor Tamakehu,” said Toi Tamakehu, who married and became a father at the age of 18.
