Imelda Marcos in U.S. for Eye Treatment

MANILA —
President Ferdinand E. Marcos said Saturday that his wife, Imelda, is in the United States for treatment of an eye disease that could lead to blindness.
Although Imelda Marcos previously acknowledged that she has been undergoing eye treatment, Marcos’ statement was the first indication that she may be suffering from glaucoma, an eye disease that causes progressive loss of vision.
