100 Feared Drowned

DHAKA, Bangladesh —
About 100 people were feared drowned Saturday when a ferry capsized in the Buri Ganga River about six miles west of the capital of Dhaka, an eyewitness reported. About 100 passengers swam ashore to safety, said one of the passengers who declined to be identified. There was no immediate confirmation from government officials.
