Recreation Area Featured at Acacia Park Development

A park-like recreation area with swimming pools, tennis courts and a waterfall is featured at Acacia Park, an Upland development of 154 single-family houses opening today.

Developed by Acacia Construction Co., the project opens with a 34-unit phase of two- and three-bedroom houses in four single-level plans with 1,120 to 1,575 square feet, priced from $97,900 to $119,900. Move-ins are scheduled for May 1 and eight houses have been sold.

Designed by the Newport Beach architectural firm of Richardson Nagy Martin, the houses feature sloping ceilings, central air conditioning, wood-burning fireplaces and breakfast nooks.

The recreational amenities, with upkeep costing each homeowner $62.28 a month, include the waterfall, green belts, two swimming pools, two spas, two lighted tennis courts, two cabana buildings, three volleyball courts and barbecue areas.

Four furnished models are open daily, except Thursday, from 10 a.m. to dusk at 20th Street and Mountain Avenue.
